GLOW PERIOD TRACKER APP, FREE, ITUNES
This app helps you track your period, emotions, moods, physical symptoms, fertility health and medications. Glow's
data shows women who actively use the app have at least a 40 per cent greater likelihood of getting pregnant. Glow
users report having sex most frequently on days 12-15 (around ovulation), but orgasm is more frequent in the 2-3 days at the start
of a cycle. According to the data, of those who are actively trying to conceive, 7.5 per cent still had sex during their period.

ALCOHOL:
The government recommends
women stop drinking alcohol
when trying for a baby. If you
are going to drink, they suggest
consuming no more than one or
two units of alcohol per week.
A schooner of beer or cider
is one unit. A small glass of
wine is 1.5 units. Alcopops are
about 1.5 units.

CAFFEINE:
The government advises
less than 200mg per day.
Flat white coffee using arabica
beans (180ml) = 60mg caffeine.

FOLIC ACID:
Take it as soon as you stop
using contraception until you’re
12 weeks pregnant. This
protects the unborn baby
against the risk of spina bifida
and other neural tube defects.

VITAMIN D:
Some women have low levels,
so check with your GP.

If you follow the medical advice – like, perfectly – this is what
you’d be putting in your shopping trolley*
