He’s known for playing Jon Snow in

Game of Thrones and, as a descendant of

Charles II, Kit’s basically real royalty, too.

Just don’t mention it to him: “I’m not

anti-royalist, but who gives a shit?”

His real name is Christopher, but he only

found that out when he was 11 and doing

a test at school. “I [wrote] ‘Kit

Harington’ and [the teacher] looked at

me like I was stupid, and said, ‘No,

you’re Christopher Harington, I’m

afraid.’ In the end I stuck with Kit.”

“Natural and alluring masculinity [with] an

e†ortless sense of style” is how Sandra

Choi, creative director for Jimmy Choo,

described him when he was announced

as the face of its menswear brand. Totally.

Jon Snow might be a badass, but in real

life Kit is scared of spiders, injections and

flying. “I’m turning into a flying alcoholic,

because I can’t deal with it,” he says.

He’s fine with being naked on camera.

“There are a hundred people watching

you, and after the first 30 seconds

everyone’s seen everything. I’m happy to

strut around naked after that,” he says.
