Bags under your eyes are a lot harder

to hide than dark circles. No matter

how much concealer you use, it is

always tricky to disguise puffiness.

“Eye bags are caused either by excess

fat tissue – which is impossible to get

rid of without surgery – or by fluid

retention,” explains dermatologist Dr

Stefanie Williams. So how do you tell

which is behind your bags? “If the

puffiness is worse in the mornings,

or you can massage it away, it’s fluid,”

says Dr Williams. “Often the culprit

is a diet high in processed carbs and

salt, which encourages water to stay

in your skin tissues.” An eye product
