FIND A FIT
FRIEND!
Research shows the ideal
training buddy is a pal
who’s 40% fitter than
you so you push to
keep up.

UP FOR IT

  1. Stand a few feet apart, facing each other. You
and your friend both lean forward from hips and
grasp each other’s elbows. Step right foot back
and point toe, while your friend does the same
with her left foot. 2. You both lift your foot to
hip height. Pulse 15 times, then switch feet.
PAIN IN THE BUTT? This move zings up your
booty like whoa. If you need to, take a break
before switching legs to shake it out.

LINKED TOGETHER

  1. Stand a few feet apart, facing each
other, feet shoulder-width apart. Lift arms,
and grasp each other’s elbows. Lift your
left leg in front of you as your friend lifts
her left leg in front of her. Hook legs so
    your calves touch.

  2. Keeping legs hooked, bend your right
knee as your friend bends her right knee
so you both do a single-leg squat. Do 15
    reps, then switch legs.
EASY DOES IT Even a teeny-tiny knee
bend will work your standing leg, so
    start out small. #

DANCE PARTY
Lie face-up on the ground with
arms under lower back. Curl
head and shoulders up, and
lift legs about 30cm o„ the
ground. Hold this position
while your friend jumps back
and forth over your legs.
Continue this for 30 seconds,
then switch positions.
MAKE IT HARDER Lift your
legs a few more centimetres
to give your abs a bigger
challenge... and to make
your friend jump higher.
