Deen. Duh, right? His name
is actually Bryan Sevilla and
he’s from LA. His parents
are engineers. He worked at
Starbucks for a few years to
put himself through college. So far, so
normal. Except Bryan Sevilla became
James Deen – a nickname bestowed on
him by high school friends, a nod to the
way he’d smoke cigarettes across the
street from school. He says he’s wanted
to be in porn “for as long as I remember”
and at 14, after hearing famed porn star
Jenna Jameson on the radio, decided he
needed to start practising for the gig.
He would meet girls at parties and have
consensual sex with them in public – a
way to “nurture my exhibitionism”, he
says now. At 18, he starred in his first
adult film, and now he’s been in over

one film where they did. I think that if
anything, guys are like, “how do I last
longer?”, “how do I do this?”, “how do I
