XPLORE THE RICH biodiversity of the World
Heritage-listed subantarctic Islands south of
New Zealand. Access is by permit only – but
on this expedition, guided by experts, you can
explore and photograph these unique places.
You will visit Snares, Auckland, Macquarie and
Campbell islands, which lie in the subantarctic cool
temperate zone and are home to wildlife, including
albatross, penguins, petrels, prions, shearwaters,
sea lions, fur seals and elephant seals.
Prize includes: two return flights to Invercargill
from any Australian state capital, or from Auckland
or Wellington in New Zealand; one night’s
twin-share accommodation in Invercargill, including
dinner and breakfast; all onboard accommodation
in twin-share superior cabin; all meals and
expedition shore excursions. Excludes optional

Nature Photographer of the Year competi-
tion is open for entries from Wednesday 6
January 2016 to Friday 26 February 2016. This
prestigious contest is run by the South Australian
Museum in Adelaide in partnership with
AUSTRALIAN GEOGRAPHIC.
The winning photos will appear in the
September–October 2016 issue of AUSTRALIAN
GEOGRAPHIC and at the exhibition at the South
Australian Museum and other venues.

Terms and Conditions
Competition opens 9am (ACDT) on
Wednesday 6 January 2016 and
closes at 5pm (ACDT) on Friday 26
February 2016. An entrant may
submit up to four entries in each of the
competition’s sections. The same or
substantially similar entries may not
be entered in more than one section of
the competition. All photographs must
be taken in the ANZANG bioregion.
The major prize must be redeemed
on the dates specified. For the
purposes of these rules, the ‘ANZANG
bioregion’ means Australia, New
Zealand, Antarctica (including the
subantarctic islands) and the New
