items and gardening nous to create a special

place for her whole family.

‘Mrs Gunner’s Garden’ complete with picket

fence, recreates a cottage garden of earlier

times with Shirley poppies and pyrethrum,

blue borage and orange wallfl owers

(Cheiranthus) at the entrance. Upturned

terracotta pots atop stakes prevent eye injuries

and double as plant labels.
