from there. It’s the centre of things, where the

anamountofmoneyinthebankbefore I had to
return.LuckilyIgotworkquick.”

also made him a globally recognised star; an
ubercelebthatluxurybrandslikeTAGHeuer

superheroics, he has been James Hunt in Ron
Howard’s biopicRushand the world’s greatest
hacker inBlackhat, a thriller fromHeatdirector
Michael Mann. To play a man who can shine
light on the darknet, Hemsworth underwent
oneofthelesscommonlydiscussedactorly
crashcourses:learninghowtotype.
“Well,itwasthatandthebasicsofcoding
and hacking,” Hemsworth says.
“Iwasbeingtaughtbyayoungguywhoisa
mathematics genius. But he happened to love
surfing–theocean,thatis–likeIdo,sowe
spentalotofthetimelookingupsurfmovies
and talking about surfing, then Michael would
comeintheofficeandwewouldchangethe
screentoapageaboutmaths.Itwaspretty
consistent with how I acted in school.”
