BEFORE Kitchen trap The original
kitchen was a U-shape in the middle of
the back of the house. “It created small
pockets that our guests would get
trapped in,” homeowner Lauren says.
“There was no flow.” The kitchen was
removed and the back wall was replaced
with sliding doors. “It has totally changed
the way we use the house,” Lauren says.
