TWEAK THE SHADOWS
Go to the Shadows section of the panel
and move the Saturation slider to 13. Now,
move the Hue adjustment right to a value of
167 to remove the reddish tint and replace it
with a metallic green tone. Finding the right
combination between both the Highlights
and the Shadows colour is key to developing
a tasteful split-tone effect.
Tip: You can quickly reset an adjustment
back to the value of 0 by double-clicking on
its name.

SEPIA TONING
To achieve a classic sepia look, set the Hue amount
to 56 for the Shadows. This should be in the region of
the yellows and oranges. Set the Saturation slider to
35 to bring the orange tint through more in the darker
parts of the image. Change the Balance slider to -10
to slightly offset the highlights. To have more control
over the colour, use the colour picker by clicking on the
swatch icon at the end of the sliders.

CONTRAST
Scroll up to the Basic adjustments (near
the top of the panel). At the moment, the
contrast of the original image is quite high.
Lower the Contrast slider to -40 to bring
through more detail in the shadows. This
helps achieve a faded, retro effect which
complements the sepia tone.
Tip: You can save your effects as a Preset
which can then be applied with a single
click to other images by clicking on the
plus symbol in the Presets panel.
