Now the shoe is on the other foot: it’s your turn to wow his mates. And while we know
how ridiculously incredible you are, this bunch of boys might not. But before you break
out in that nervous sweat we all get (yes, ALL of us), remember that the most important
thing is to always be yourself. Keep cool, calm and collected... and maybe resist giving
your guy a massive hit of PDA when his best mate’s trying to strike up a convo with
you. This will definitely help you clock up brownie points with his buds. Trust us. c

GET HIS FRIENDS TO LIKE YOU

Psychologist Jo Lamble suggests that you try thinking of some of the
out-of-school activities that both your guy AND your pals really like.
“Whether it’s sport, music or drama, they only need to have one
thing in common to bring them closer.” If you and your boy can’t get
enough of hitting the surf and spending days on end at the beach,
maybe this is something your BFFs would like to do too. Win-win!

In your eyes, your guy is the very definition of perfect – and the proof is in
all the amazing things he does for you on a daily basis. He tells you you’re
beautiful both inside and out ALL the time, he doesn’t hold back on showing
you affection in front of his mates and the best part? He thinks your friends
are awesome! But why should you be the only one who knows all about
this amazing fact? “Don’t be afraid to tell your friends how great your boy
thinks they are,” says Jo. And Kylie agrees, but stresses that you should
also “communicate with your group the reasons why you like him and
how it is important to you that they make an effort to get to know him”.

Whether you and your crush argue over which YouTube channel is the best
one out there or you have had a little bit of a tiff in the past, Jo says that
it’s sometimes best to keep this kind of trivial stuff to yourselves, especially
when you’re trying to win over your friends. “Do your best to not air your
dirty laundry to your group,” she explains. “If you do complain about your
boy to your friends, there’s no way they will like him.” Although, never, EVER
forget that if your gut tells you something’s seriously up and you need to
have a good vent about something full-on, don’t be afraid to speak up.

You’re so loved up that you’re spending every possible second with your
new boy. And that’s cool – just don’t forget your pals. “It’s natural to get
wrapped up in your new relationship, but it’s also important to remember
to make time for your friends,” says Kylie. In this situation, do your best to
keep everyone happy; it will pay off majorly in the long run – mostly for
YOU. Kylie encourages you to bridge the gap between your boy and your
friends with a big group chill-out session. “Hang out altogether sometimes
so that they can really get to know each other.” Plus, Jo adds, “friends hate
being ditched for your crush so make sure you include them in the fun.”
