WARRIOR ONE MELBOURNE:
YOGA TUNE UP FOR MEN
Warrior One owners Dustin and Nova
Brown have a goal to spread the
benefits of yoga to men. They recently
ran a Broga event with Lululemon
and they have also taught alongside
Boys of Yoga at Wanderlust 108. Their
website dedicates an entire page to men
(warrioroneyoga.com.au/warrior-men),
and they’re getting amazing results.

What sets Warrior One apart, and creates
a truly appealing vibe for the boys, is
Yoga Tune Up. The modern style of yoga
focuses on eradicating pain, reducing
stress and tension, increasing mobility,
and enhancing performance by using
YTU therapy balls and myofascial release
techniques to roll out and release
muscles and connective tissue.

The addition of these classes to Warrior
One’s schedule has been hugely popular,
especially among the male population.
Dustin is one of only three certified
teachers in Australia and the first to bring
YTU to Victoria. Dustin believes that YTU
is a great entry point for men wanting to
begin a practice and invest in self-care.
He says, “The benefits from just one class
are instant and measurable and it truly
makes a lasting change on both the
mind and body.

“YTU classes are especially ideal for men
who want to rejuvenate their bodies and
relieve stress and pain – whether they sit
at a desk or are an athlete experiencing
fatigue,” Dustin says. For more details,

MEN’S WELLBEING
Committing to a yoga practice may help
maintain quality of life and alleviate some
side effects for men undergoing radiation
therapy for prostate cancer, according
to a new study led by researchers at the
University of Pennsylvania’s Perelman
School of Medicine. Compelling,
considering that prostate cancer is the
most common cancer diagnosed in
Australia and the third most common
cause of cancer death.

DYLAN WERNER IN AUSTRALIA
If you haven’t heard of Dylan Werner, you could be accused of living under a rock! With a
huge following and enviable practice, Dylan is an inversion and arm balance master and a
world leader in yoga strength training and body weight movement. Dylan’s background is in
wrestling, martial arts and rock climbing and he was
eventually enticed by yoga as he found the practice
combined all that he loved. He’s well known
for bringing the complexity of inversions
and arm balances to yogis of all levels
and he’s coming to Australia this October.
His style is fun, energetic, and challenging.
