Fidgeting while sitting could
ameliorate the cardiovascular disease
risk caused by prolonged periods on
your posterior according to University
of Missouri-Columbia research.
Intermittently fidgeting one leg by
tappingonefootforoneminuteand
then resting it for four minutes while
the other leg remains still may help
prevent arterial disease, experts found.
Blood flow in the fidgeting leg
increased significantly while blood
flow in the static leg was reduced.

CONTROL FREAK
Stopping birth control pills or other oestrogen-containing
contraceptives can compromise vitamin D levels, which
contribute to immunity and managing calcium levels. Recent
research published in the Journal of Clinical Endocrinology &
Metabolism suggested that oestrogen-based birth control boosts
vitamin D levels by as much as 20 per cent. Pregnant women
face heightened risk of vitamin D deficiency according to the
Endocrine Society.

of rumination, in which we replay the
catalyst event, repeatedly triggering
the emotion. Boredom is among the
