GO FULL FAT
Calorie-counting enthusiasts
will be tempted to reach for the
low-fat options in the dairy isle,
but nutritionist Brooke Turner
(balancefitnessandnutrition.com.au)
says you could be missing out on key
micro-nutrients. “Skim dairy varieties
will often be higher in carbohydrates,
particularly sugar content,” she says.
“Low-fat varieties often contain
added sugar or artificial sweeteners
to help lift the flavour that can be
reduced through the removal of the
fat content.”
No, thanks. Our pick for full-fat
