Women are notorious for putting up with
physiological niggles, but a twinge, ache or
bloat can be the body’s way of letting you
know there’s a hidden problem.

COULD BE: AN ACCIDENTAL KNOCK
The most common causes of discoloured nails are nutrition
deficiencies, but technicoloured talons can hint at more serious
health issues. Reddish-brown spots are common symptoms of
shortfalls in folic acid while white lines indicate a deficit in iron
or zinc, and brittle nails result from insufficient B vitamins. More
serious causes of discolouration are liver or kidney problems
(yellow), infection (green) and poor circulation or a heart or lung
disorder (blue). White flecks often occur as a result of physical
knocks and grow out in time.
