MASTER
Now’s the time
to switch up your
signature drink

Try one of these alternatives
to classic summer cocktails,
as suggested by Michael
Madrusan and Zara Young
from Fitzroy’s The Everleigh
(they wrote a boozy book we
loved so much, we put it in
our gift guide on p215).

22ml Aperol
22ml Cocchi Americano
15ml Cocchi Rosa
45ml champagne
Orange and lemon slices,
to garnish
ADD all liquid ingredients,
except champagne, to a wine
glass with ice. POUR in
champagne and stir briefly.
GARNISH with a slice each
of orange and lemon.

45ml gin
22ml fresh lemon juice
15ml orgeat syrup
7ml amaretto
1 egg white
Soda
PLACE all ingredients,
except egg white and
soda, into a shaker.
POUR in the egg white
and shake without ice first
(to emulsify). ADD ice and
shake nice and hard.
STRAIN into a frozen fizz
glass and top with soda.

30ml good-quality
blanco tequila
22ml fresh lime juice
22ml apricot liqueur
1 lime wedge, to garnish
ADD all liquid ingredients
to your shaker with ice.
SHAKE and strain into a cold
cocktail glass. GARNISH
with lime wedge.

22ml gin
22ml fresh lemon juice
22ml St Germain
Elderflower Liqueur
22ml Cointreau
1 lemon slice, to garnish
ADD all liquid ingredients
to your shaker with ice.
SHAKE and strain into a cold
cocktail glass. GARNISH
with slice of lemon.

5 lime chunks
6 cucumber slices
(reserve 3 to garnish)
22ml sugar syrup
60ml gin
1 dash Worcestershire sauce
2 dashes hot sauce
Salt flakes and freshly
ground pepper, to garnish
MUDDLE lime, cucumber
and sugar syrup in a shaker.
ADD remaining liquid
ingredients with ice and shake
briefly. POUR into a frozen
double-rocks glass. GARNISH
with three cucumber slices
and a sprinkle of salt
and pepper.
