TAKE IT HOME
When the party’s over,
give a memento, a sweets
bag filled with pink, red and
white lollies. For the bags, tie
a square of tulle with pink
ribbon. And don’t forget
to give everyone
a balloon.

STRAWBERRY ICE PUNCH


PREP TIME 15 MINUTES (+ FREEZING) SERVES 12


250g strawberries, sliced
½ cup (110g) caster sugar
pink food colouring
1 egg white, beaten lightly
1 litre (4 cups) chilled apple and
strawberry juice
1 litre (4 cups) chilled mineral water
1 litre (4 cups) chilled lemonade


1 Place one strawberry slice into
each hole of a 12−hole ice−cube tray.
Fill with water; freeze.


2 Combine sugar and a few drops of
colouring in a small plastic bag; rub
together until sugar is coloured pink.
Place pink sugar on a saucer; place
egg white on another saucer. Dip rim
of each glass into beaten egg white,
then into sugar.
3 Just before serving, combine juice,
mineral water and lemonade in large
serving bowl; tint pink with a few
drops of colouring. Add remaining
strawberries and strawberry
ice cubes. Pour into the
prepared glasses.
