HIT THE SPOTS

Small spaces provide the
opportunity to have a little
decorating fun. “They
demand attention but often
get left out,” says Fiona. In the
powder room above, she
used a spotted wallpaper
from Bristol Paint &
Decorator Centre and
decorative mirrors to inject
graphic interest. The effect is
reprised in the form of a
raindrops decal from Etsy
(above right), a charming and
whimsical addition to
a child’s bedroom.

SPACE-CRAFTY

Many space-saving tricks have
been used in the design of this
bathroom (right), which
incorporates a laundry
cunningly hidden behind
closed doors. “You wouldn’t
even know it’s there,” says
Fiona. The wall-mounted
towel rack above the bath
saves space, and a long but
not-too-deep vanity unit with
drawers provides storage
without taking up too much
space. Crisp white subway
tiles stacked vertically draw
the eye to the far wall,
while the timber-look tiles
add texture to the floor.
