JULIA’S FAVOURITE THINGS

Artwork An incredible work
by Lisa Lapointe. It’s called
Heron. Vases Vintage finds
and a new black-and-white
design from Goose in Geelong.
Flamingo (in cloche) I have
quite the collection of exotic
birds; they add a touch of
quirkiness to a room. I can’t
stand stiff interiors. Rug Art for
the floor. This one, from
Halcyon Lake Rugs and
Carpets, is in my favourite
colour, duck-egg blue. Chairs
Ikea and Thonet. I’m not a
matchy-matchy person. Table
I love the sleek lines of this oak
table from Huset, and the fact
that it can seat eight.

MY LOCAL HAUNTS
At The Heads eatery in Barwon
Heads, for ocean views and fab
chips, and Wallington’s Flying
Brick Cider Company, where the
kids can run wild on the
beautiful grounds. I’m a regular
at Moss Grotto in Barwon
Heads, which offers a perfect
balance of boho and chic in
homewares and fashion. Stone
and Grain is a great new space
at The Hive, a cool hub of art
and design in Ocean Grove.
