Not all white paints are created equal. Some have blue undertones, for
example, while others tend towards the yellow end of the spectrum. Adelaide
favours Dulux Berkshire White, as used here, for its creamy warmth and
softness. “I love the simplicity of white. It’s classic and you can add colours and
textural details without it looking messy,” she says. With a white splashback
and joinery, this wall could read as one piece, but the diverse materials –
subway tiles, tongue-and-groove doors – pique visual interest. Smooth and
colourful ceramics brighten and balance the rustic materials palette.
