It’s only after opening the fridge to see little
more than a tub of cream cheese that you sigh
at the thought of having to do yet another trip
to the supermarket. Grocery shopping has
become some kind of sport, with people using
all sorts of strategies to navigate the food aisles.
Using the new and improved Coles app will
greatly assist you and your shopping
endeavours. Add products to a shopping list
and they’ll automatically be organised
according to the aisles of your local store.
Even cooler, link your Flybuys card to see past
purchases for easy adding to your list, as well
as view your current points balance.
Frequently purchased items can be added to
a watchlist, so you’ll be notified if they ever go
on special.

ALONG WITH THE internet came the ability to
order almost anything from the comfort of your
couch. Furniture, electronics and creepy dolls are
now all available for purchase at the touch of a
button. I, for one, am an avid online shopper,
with very little getting between me and my mouse,
especially after a few glasses of red. No longer are we
forced to visit the dreaded shopping centre, walking
from store to store like a pleb — for what feels like
an eternity — just to find that perfect pair of socks.
This month, we barter with a collection of apps
designed to assist when shopping both in the real
world and online. Whether it’s finding a unique gift,
a discounted experience or simply doing the weekly
grocery shop, these apps can help you save time,
money and effort.
