Aelius monoblock amplifier
and PST100mk2 preamplifier,
the Phaethon integrated
amplifier is a true audiophile
design. The input and driver
stages use low-noise valves in
single-ended class A fashion,
coupled to an output stage using
semiconductors for both phases
in a balanced single-ended
architecture – the flavour of a
pure single-ended amplifier with
the power of push-pull designs.Separate power supplies for the
tube and output stages utilise
five power supply inductors for
low-noise filtering.
