Ornate frames

Mirrors with intricate frames can make a fabulous wall gallery display (right).

A well-considered layout is important, as is the mix of shapes and shine levels.

2 If you’re renovating, ask your

carpenter to construct a large-scale

hero mirror frame, fitted with 6–8mm

glass, and to install it on a wall that

can bear the weight. Mirrors can be

very heavy, so it pays to have large

designs professionally installed.
