STYLE STEAL

HOTEL HENRIETTE

9 RUE DES GOBELINS, 75013 PARIS

Former fashion editor Vanessa Scoffier is

the design talent behind Hotel Henriette, an

exquisite new boutique establishment with a

bohemian vibe, set in the 13th arrondissement

of Paris. Rising to the challenge of outfitting

32 rooms on a strict budget, she has pulled

together a curated selection of statement

pieces, vintage wares and lavish textiles.

Kvadrat fabrics, furniture by Florence Knoll

and lights from Thomas Eyck sit alongside

pieces discovered at Parisian fleamarkets.

The result is a rich, layered decor with a warm,

homely atmosphere, as Vanessa told H&G:

How did you approach refurbishing Hotel Henriette?
I liked the idea of a country home in Paris that
would welcome people as I do into my home.
How would you describe the aesthetic of the hotel?
A place with history and soul.
What are the key elements that define the style?
The Warren Platner chair and Florence Knoll
sideboard in the lobby. And the colour palette:
navy, dusty pink, bottle green, mustard yellow.
How can readers recreate this look?
Try to mix up materials, colour and style.
The key is to choose objects that you love.
