GETTING STARTED

NOTE: For best shading consistency

knit all balls either from the inside or

the outside. The finished item may

vary in appearance compared with

the leaflet image. Every item is unique

and no two balls of Original are totally

identical.

WORKING PATTERN

AFGHAN (MAKE 20 SQUARES)

Use a new ball of yarn for each square

(remnants will be used for edging).

With 4.50mm knitting needles, cast on

24 sts.

Row 1: RS - (K2, p2) 6 times.

Row 2: WS - (K2, p2) 6 times.

Row 3: RS - (P2, k2) 6 times.

Row 4: WS - (P2, k2) 6 times.

Rep these 4 rows 8 times more, then

rows 1 and 2 once more.

Change to circular needles.

Round 1: RS - K1, yo, k22, yo k1,

place marker; (do not turn)

now work down first side as following:

pick up and k1 st, yo, pick up and

k22 sts evenly down side (ensure one

more st can be picked up at end), yo,

pick up and k1, place marker;

now work along cast-on edge as

following: pick up and k1 st, yo, pick

up and k22 sts evenly along (ensure

one more st can be picked up at end),

yo, pick up and k1, place marker;

now work up 2nd side as following:

pick up and k1 st, yo, pick up and k22

sts evenly up side (ensure one more st

can be picked up at end), yo, pick up

and k1, place marker. 104 sts.

Round 2: RS - Knit all 104 sts and

move markers up as you go.

Round 3: (K1, yo, k24, yo k1, place

marker) 4 times. 112 sts.

Round 4: Purl all 112 sts and move

markers up as you go.

Round 5: (K1, yo, k26, yo k1, place

marker) 4 times. 120 sts.

Round 6: Purl all 120 sts and move

markers up as you go.

Round 7: (K1, yo, k28, yo k1, place

marker) 4 times. 128 sts.
