Keeping buttonhole placements correct
for Girls garment, patt until piece
measures 20 (24, 27, 31) cm from
beg, end with a WS row.

Shape Neck
Next Row: RS - Patt 9 (9, 10, 10) sts
and slip these just worked sts to stitch
holder for neckband, patt to end.
Cont in patt and dec 1 st at neck edge
next 10 (10, 10, 11) rows. 15 (18,
20, 22) sts.
Patt straight until front measures same
as back to shoulder, end with a RS row.
Cast off loosely.

SLEEVES
With 4.00mm needles, cast on 33
(35, 37, 39) sts.
Row 1: RS - K1; *p1, k1; rep from
* to end.
Row 2: WS - P1; *k1, p1; rep from
* to end.
Rib 6 (6, 8, 8) more rows.
Cont in Stst and inc 1 st each end
next row, then every 5th row until 45
(49, 53, 57) sts on needle.
Stst straight until sleeve measures
16 (18, 22, 25) cm from beg, end
with a WS row.
Cast off loosely.

MAKING UP
Join shoulder seams.

Neck Edge
With RS facing and 3.75mm needles,
slip the 9 (9, 10, 10) sts from right
front neck holder onto needle as if
they have already been worked, pick
up and k 21 (22, 24, 26) sts up front
neck edge, k the back neck holder
27 (27, 29, 31) sts, pick up and k
21 (22, 24, 26) sts down front neck
edge to holder, k 1 st from holder, p
rem 8 (8, 9, 9) sts. 87 (89, 97, 103)
sts.
Next Row: WS - Purl.
Next Row: RS - Purl.
Rep last 2 rows 2 (2, 3, 3) times more.
Cast off loosely.

Place marker 11 (12, 13, 14) cm
down from shoulder on front and back.
Join sleeve top to body from marker to
marker. Join side and sleeve seams.
Sew on buttons opposite buttonholes.

HAT
With 3.75mm needles, cast on 75
(83, 89, 93) sts.
Row 1: RS - K1; *p1, k1; rep from
* to end.

Row 2: WS - P1; *k1, p1; rep from
* to end.
Rib 8 (8, 10, 10) more rows.
Change to 4.00mm needles.
Stst until piece measures 11 (12, 13,
14) cm from beg, end with a WS row.
Change to 3.75mm needles.
Garter Stitch (= k every row) until
piece measures 13 (14, 15, 16) cm
from beg, end with a WS row.

Shape Top
Next Row: RS - K5 (5, 6, 6) sts, skp,
k2, k2tog; (k9 (11, 12, 13), skp, k2,
k2tog) 4 times; k4 (4, 5, 5). 65 (73,
79, 83) sts.
Garter Stitch 3 rows.
Next Row: RS - K4 (4, 5, 5) sts, skp,
k2, k2tog; (k7 (9, 10, 11), skp, k2,
k2tog) 4 times; k3 (3, 4, 4). 55 (63,
69, 73) sts.
Garter Stitch 3 rows.
Next Row: K3 (3, 4, 4) sts, skp, k2,
k2tog; (k5 (7, 8, 9), skp, k2, k2tog)
4 times; k2 (2, 3, 3). 45 (53, 59,
63) sts.
Garter Stitch 3 rows.
Next Row: K2 (2, 3, 3) sts, skp, k2,

Break yarn leaving longer end, thread
