3-NEEDLE BIND-OFF
Hold right sides of pieces together
ontwo needles. Insert third needle
knitwise into first st of each needle,
and wrap yarn knitwise.
Knit these two together and slip them
off the needles. Knit the next two sts
together in the same manner.

WORKING PATTERN
BACK
Cast on 91 sts.
Set-uprow: RS – K4, pm, k83, pm, k4.

Beg Patt
Row 1:WS – K4, slip marker, work row
1 of pat st over 83 sts, sl marker, k4.
Cont in this way, keeping first and
last 4 sts in garter st (knit every row)
and centre 83 sts in pat st until piece
measures 66cm from beg. Place
35 sts on one holder for shoulder,
centre 21 sts on another holder for
back neck, and rem 35 sts on another
holder for shoulder.

FRONT
Work as for back until piece measures
53cmfrom beg, end with a WS row.

Neck Shaping
Next Row:RS – Keeping in pat, work
41 sts, place centre 9 sts on holder, join
a second ball of yarn and work rem 41
sts. Working both sides at same time,

bind off 2 sts from each neck edge
twice, then dec 1 st every other row
twice – 35 sts each side. Work even
until piece measures same as back.
Place sts each side on holders.

MAKING UP
Join shoulder seams together using
three-needle bind off.

NECKBAND
With RS facing and circular needle, k
21 sts from back neck holder, pick up
and k 10 sts along shaped left front
neck edge,k9stsfromcentre front
holder, pick up and k 10 sts along
shaped right front neck edge – 50 sts.
Join and place marker for beg of rnd.
Knit 3 rnds.
Bind off sts knitwise.
