GETTING STARTED

Pattern uses Australian crocheting

terminology.

WORKING PATTERN

Holding a strand of both C1 and C2

together work 23 ch.

Row 1: miss 3 ch, 1 tr into each ch.

19 tr, turn.

Row 2: 3 ch, 1 tr into each tr of

previous row. 19 tr, turn.

Repeat row 2 twice (4 rows of tr in

total).

Change to C3

Row 5: 3 ch, *1 tr into next tr, 1 ch,*

repeat from * to * to end of row (work

last tr into turning ch). 19 tr, turn.

Row 6: 3 ch, 1 tr into top of next

tr, 1 ch, miss 2 tr, 2 tr in next 1 ch

space (= V st), 1 ch, *miss 2 tr, V st,

1 ch*, repeat from * to * to end of row

working the last V st into turning ch,

Change to C1 and C2

Row 7: 3 ch, *1 tr in each 1 ch
