Winter Trends

Styles We Love
This season is all about layers on
layers! Wearing multiple garments
on top of one another is a sure-fire
way to be on trend throughout winter
(with the added plus of keeping
warm.) Play around with pieces such
as vests, ponchos, capes and jackets
to get the perfect layered style. Try
to keep your overall look balanced
by keeping an eye on asymmetry,
textures, volume and colours. By
making all these features cohesive
and consistent, you can create the
perfect outfit for cooler weather.
Layering different sizes and lengths
will keep you looking chic and you
can stay comfortably cosy this winter!
Velvet fabric is rising in popularity
for the cooler months, and you can
get a similar effect with velvet inspired
yarns. Create some sleek garments for
day and night – all knitters will love
these pieces in their wardrobe. Chic
sweaters in dark colours against black
pants or skirts is a very stylish look,
while soft whites and cream velvet
inspired shawls, scarves and beanies
will create a snow inspired effect.
Furry knits will be huge this season,
with plenty of designers taking on this
trend in their latest collections. Long
pile yarns will be perfect to create the
ultimate fuzzy scarves or coats, with
short pile yarns being preferable for soft
sweaters and cardigans. Try customising

As the cooler weather approaches, knitters are on the lookout for stylish trends and exciting
projects. This winter, we are taking inspiration from electric colour palettes,
balanced layers and textured yarns.
