With rates of dementia on the rise,
it’s never been more important to keep
your grey matter in mint condition, so
pump some soothing tunes or get your
om on, stat. During a 12-week study by
US researchers, scientists found that
after practising simple meditations or
listening to music for 12 minutes a day,
people experienced improvements in
their memory and objective thinking
- areas of the brain usually a ected in
the early stages of dementia. On top
of that, the volunteers also slept better,
felt less stressed and experienced a
boost in their quality of life. Impressive!
