The secret to getting fi t? A gym
membership. Yeah, it sounds kinda
obvious, but according to researchers
from Iowa State University, gym-goers
are 14 times more likely to smash out
cardio and 10 times more likely to weight
train than non-gym bunnies. Oh, and
gym members also clock healthier levels
for blood circulation, lung function and
muscle mass, too. If you’re fi nding it hard
to get sweaty no matter where you are,
try these tips for upping your fi tness fi re:
 PHONE A FRIEND Exercising with
a pal is way more fun than going solo,
and they’ll keep you accountable, too.
BET ON IT Grab a jar and fi ll it with
$5 every time you fi nish a workout. Set
yourself a time frame (like three months)
and treat yourself with the cash once
time’s up. The more you sweat, the more
you can spend. Hello, new sneakers!
GET VISUAL If you get a thrill from
writing to-do lists, make a chart listing all
of your scheduled workouts for the next
month and colour them in each time you
complete a session. By the end, the
whole chart will be fi lled in and your
inner perfectionist will be chu” ed.
