Three generations of elegance
The legendary Grace Kelly hosted the first Rose Ball in Monaco in 1954 –
and to say it’s still a family affair would be an understatement. Grace’s
daughter, Caroline, Princess ofHanover, wore stunning Chanel at this
year’s ball (above left) and was still turning heads for all the right reasons
at age 60, as she arrived on the arm of designer Karl Lagerfeld. Her daughter,
Charlotte Casiraghi, repurposed one of Caroline’s vintage Chanel gowns for
the event. The design from the 1996 haute couture collection was covered
in lace vines and paired with lengthy diamond earrings – but what else
would you expect from Grace Kelly’s granddaughter?

Behind the scenes ofMary Poppins
Disney is in the act of crafting a sequelto its much-loved 1964 children’s
classicMary Poppins, based on the book by Australian P.L. Travers.
Currently in production in London, Disney has brought together a stellar
cast, including Meryl Streep, Julie Walters, Colin Firth and Emily Blunt as
the magical nanny, forMary Poppins Returns. Even Dick Van Dyke, who
starred in the original with Julie Andrews and is now 91, has a role. The
new film is set in 1935, during the Great Depression in London, and the
now grown-up children are visited by their former nanny following a
tragedy.Mary Poppins Returns will come to our screens in 2018.
