Can you
give me
any tips on
how to pull
off wearing
a double-
breasted
blazer? I love
the style but
I worry that I
might be too broad to suit it.
There are a few different
styles of double-breasted
jackets, blazers and coats
available this season. Some
have belts and some do not,
although typically a pea
coat or double-breasted
blazer/jacket does not. Fit is
everything here so you must
be able to close the buttons
over your bust comfortably.
Make sure the buttons are
reinforced, too, and not
falling off. Don’t forget you’ll
have cool-weather layers
underneath your blazer so
allow for lots of extra room.
Taking the time to try on
different styles and sizes is
really important and in my
opinion, absolutely necessary.
You’ll get an idea of what
works and what doesn’t
for your shape. Remember,
hip-length blazers are a great
style for everyday wear
whilst knee-length coats add
a level of sophistication to
your look whilst adding extra
