Virgin Australia Voyeur — May 2017

On 5 April 1967, Singapore Airlines launched its maiden flight
to Australia, flying from Singapore to Perth and then on to
Sydney. Since that first flight 50 years ago, Singapore Airlines
has grown from a twice weekly service to Perth and Sydney
to operating more than 120 weekly flights from Australia.
To celebrate this milestone, passengers departing from
Sydney and Perth on Singapore Airlines throughout the months
of April, May and June will be able to enjoy specially designed
dishes, highlighting some of Australia’s finest native flavours.

In 2017, Singapore Airlines will also celebrate other

milestones, including the company’s 70th anniversary, the

launch of a new onboard product ofering, the first anniversary

of the Capital Express and the 10th anniversary of the Airbus

A380, which first flew Singapore to Sydney on 25 October 2007.

With a fleet of 106 aircraft, Singapore Airlines has a

further 56 Airbus A350-900 aircraft on firm order, as well as

49 Boeing 787-10 and 20 Boeing 777-9X aircraft, reinforcing

its commitment to operating a young and modern fleet.
