Wet Br or
Thin Hair, £11.99
Tangle Teezer
was life-changing,
but then we
discovered Wet Brush.
The Houdini of hairbrushes,
its mega-bendy bristles and
super-soft tips wheedle right
into knots to work them free in
nanoseconds. The bristles on this
one, specially designed for thin hair,
are spaced further apart so they
don’t pull out precious strands
unnecessarily. Practically magic.

Aveda Pramasana
Exfoliating Scalp Brush, £14
A brush just for the scalp?
Quite. Designed for
massaging rather than
grooming, the looped bristles
exfoliate to remove flakiness
and leftover product – dry
shampoo is a big offender.
Brushing from hairline to
nape of the neck followed
by press-and-roll actions
fires up follicles by
increasing circulation, so is
recommended for thinning
hair. It feels good regardless.
Think of it as a socially
acceptable Orgasmatron.

Paul Mitchell Neuro Round
Medium, £20.75 This isn’t your
average vented brush; this is
a Neuro Titanium Thermal Brush.
In other words, the core holds
heat better than a traditional
ceramic barrel brush. Translation:
it reduces dryer time and damage.
Plus, it’s really light, which means
lots of root boost, but none of
that relentless arm ache that
makes home blowies so hideous.

Tangle Teezer The Ultimate, £13.50 The
brush synonymous with detangling wet
hair has been adapted to dry styling,
although using it with heat is still a no-no.
The mix of long and short plastic teeth
doesn’t snag, and apparently it also works
on extensions. But don’t believe the hype
