participants rocked Bugis
Junction to compete in the Under
Armour Test of Will ( TOW ) 2017
challenge. This gruelling four-
minute circuit, consisting of
burpees, one-arm thrusters, TRX rows and
sandbag throws, proved to be the ultimate test
of strength, endurance and willpower for some of
Singapore’s fittest men and women.
Intermittent showers on Day 1 and
the scorching heat on Day 2 did not deter
participants and their loved ones, who showed
up to give moral support.
In the end, however, only one man, Jet Ng,
and one woman, Faith Tan, were crowned local
champions of TOW 2017. Both had to overcome
mental and physical challenges to reach the top.
“Prior to the event, I trained consistently to
address my weaknesses and develop strength,
so that each movement required lesser effort,
translating to more reps.” said Jet, a physical
education teacher and winner of TOW 2016.
“Furthermore, my daughter was standing
right behind me, cheering me on all the way, so
