eight fruits and
vegetables a
day keeps the
doctor — and
the grim
reaper — away.

Eight is

FOR YEARS MUM
TOLD YOU how great
fruits and vegetables are for
you. But you may
not have realised just
how great. According to a
comprehensive new study
by the Norwegian University
of Science and Technology,
eating 800 grams of fruits
and vegetables a day — or
eight servings — reduces
your risk of premature death
by almost a third, and your
risk of heart disease by
about a quarter. Translation:
keep the spinach and
asparagus coming!
