Expect the fifth-generation Forester

to debut in early 2018, underpinned by

Subaru’s all-new scalable platform that

surfaced with the new-gen Impreza

last year, and largely mirroring today’s

powertrain line-up. What we’re unlikely

to ever see, though, is the Forester’s larger

brother, the forthcoming seven-seat

Ascent. It’s to be built in left-hook only in

Subaru’s US plant in Indiana.
