ocated on a mountainside in Queenstown, New
Zealand, this residence’s interior was designed
by Di Henshall, one of the Sunshine Coast’s most
sought-after designers. Surrounded by mountains,
cliff s and lakes, Queenstown boasts an enviable backdrop.
The clients called on Di to create a home they would
be able to enjoy all year round. “They wanted a minimal,
simple yet elegant family home that would accommodate
household activities in addition to sophisticated cocktail
parties,” says Di. The design revolved around the use of
space rather than just its visual appeal. The clients required
plenty of room for their children to enjoy time together as
well as separately. The home needed to tick all the boxes for
family occasions and possess all the goods for entertaining.
Being a completely new build, there were plenty of
