can contribute to a less satisfying sex life. Researchers
in the US questioned more than 1,000 individuals with
an average age of 53 about the frequency and quality
of their sex life, and their interest in sex. Ten years
later they questioned them again and found those
who felt subjectively ‘older’ rated their sex lives as
less enjoyable than others of the same age.1 hour

IF YOU CAN
Having a strong and supportive social network may be
related to our ability to smell. A study from the Monell
Center in the US, compared survey data of more
than 3,000 people over the age of 57, looking at their
ability to smell ive scents and their social connections.
According to the results, women who scored poorly
were also found to have less active and satisfying
social lives. (Curiously, the same wasn’t true for men.)
The researchers say the indings conirm how smell is
integral to our overall health and wellbeing.Feeling
