WHAT IS A SENSE?
Scientists define a sense as a group
of cells which react to physical
influence by sending a message to the
brain. Senses can be external or
internal. Vision, hearing, smell, and
taste react to external impulses,
whereas hunger reacts to something
taking place in the internal organs.

The five classic senses are
far from enough to process all
the impressions affecting your
body. Other ones keep your
balance for you or look out for
parasites on your skin. And
now, scientists have found a
brand new magnetic sense.
