This animal is
recognisable by its
unique rib cage,
which grows outside
the body as a suit
of bony armour.

It has a reputation
for moving very
slowly, but marine
species can “fly”
underwater and
weigh up to 1T.

Most species of this
animal live either in
or near water. But
all species lay their
eggs on dry land
and bury them.

Its meat is a
delicacy and is often
used in soup. Many
of the edible species
are now critically
endangered.

It is a reptile. The
earliest species
evolved 157 million
years ago, making
them among the
very first reptiles.

Actor Michael J. Fox
suffers from the
disease, which is
named after an
English doctor who
first described it.

Another known
symptom is shaking
hands and some-
times feet. Men aged
60+ suffer the highest
risk of contracting it.

The condition
affects the brain
centres that control
motor functions. An
early symptom is
stiffened motion.

The disease causes
lower concentra-
tions of dopamine
in some brain
regions, making the
neurons die.

This fatal illness
attacks and slowly
breaks down the
central nervous
system. There is no
cure against it.

The July Crisis was
the prelude to this
conflict. The crisis
ended by Austria-
Hungary declaring
war on Serbia.

The war lasted from
1914 to 1918. It
primarily took
place in Europe,
but also involved
the Middle East.

The war included a
famous battle that
Australians see as
pivotal in the
forging of our
national identity.

The war was made
up of many long
and major battles.
The Battle of
Verdun was one of
the bloodiest ever.

The war ended up
being between two
coalitions: the
Central Powers and
the Allies.
