07 THE FLOOD PAIN
While you towel off in the
shower like a normal human
being, there’s always one guy
who chooses to drip-dry by the
lockers. Unless you have
thongs, this means wet towels
(theirs) wet socks (yours) and
athlete’s foot (everyone).

03 THE CALM AND BREEZY
Men hardly ever use the
hairdryers. Apart from the odd
follically-indulgent maverick,
this will be the quietest spot.
Beware the rare “ball dryer”.

05 THE MOVEABLE FEAST
Ah, the permanently naked man.
Often overweight, he justifies
his belonging here by flaunting
his nudity as he walks laps of the
room. Carry a spare towel and
declare you’ve “found it!” as you
press it into his hands.

06 THE LIMPET
Beware the talkative stranger
telling anyone who’ll listen how
he’s struggling with his
half-marathon race pace. He
lurks as far away from the
entrance as possible to
maximise his exposure.

04 THE KING’S QUARTERS
Halfway between the showers
and the entrance, this is the
prime location to minimise
walking after a tough session.
Treasure it and tell no one.

TUESDAY (^)
KICK BOXING
Keep it simple with a class
focused on coordination, balance
and posture that torches a heap of
kilojoules to boot.
WEDNESDAY
FGT STRENGTH
Functional strength, muscular
endurance and increased lean
muscle mass will be your reward
for attending this intense
movement session, working
under strength-based loads.
THURSDAY
SHRED
Compound lifts meet HIIT resulting
in an all-out class focused on
building speed, resistance,
endurance and power – crushing
kilojoules at the same time.
FRIDAY (^)
CORE CLASS
Your core is at the centre of it all.
Build it in a quick and effective
class incorporating bosu balls,
bodyweight and sheer
determination to boost strength
across the board.
Eye OS Upgrade
Tension around your eyes
stiffens back muscles. To
relax, neuro-kinesiologist
Dax Moy suggests switching
between focusing on near and
far objects, simultaneously
working your eye muscles
and freeing up
lat strength.^
