DINE AMONG THE VINES
One of Adam’s favourite weekend destinations is Polperro
by Even Keel (150 Red Hill Rd, Red Hill; polperrowines.com.au).
“They serve great food and the wines are fantastic – I think Sam is
producing some of the best pinots on the Peninsula,” says Adam
of owner and winemaker Sam Coverdale. Share platters of glazed
lamb ribs with garlic labneh or grilled prawns smothered in
kaffir-lime chilli butter in the chic bistro, linger over a bottle of wine
on the eucalypt-shaded deck, or enjoy a picnic hamper – think,
charcuterie, chargrilled chicken and estate olives – among the vines.
This multi-tasking winery is also home to a sophisticated cellar door
and four upscale villas, making it the ideal base for a weekend away.
