announcingeverything from the VivoWatch SP
fitness smartwatchto arange of ProArt systemsforthe
creative industry,such as the ProArtStudioBook One
(right) andStudioBook ProXlaptops, the ProArt
DisplayPA32l·CG monitor and the ProArtStation
D940MX compact desktop.Wea lso had our first
reasonably convincing hands-on time with the
dual-screenedZenBook Pro Duo.
Perhaps the most notable new product is the ProArt
StudioBook One,the first-ever laptopto use the mobile
versionof Nvidia’s high-end QuadroRTX6000 GPl·.
Both the graphics chip and the CPl·, an Intel Core
i9-9980HK, are also positioned behind the
screen, something Asus says will make the
base cooler and more comfortableto
use on your lap.There’s no pricing or
l·K availability details yet, but
expect aheftycost.

aving spent several years as the first
name in aɏordable,home-friendly 3D
printers, the Netherlands-based
XYZPrinting is changing course and
focusing more on industrial printing.
It’s not done yet with desktop printers,
however,and was at IFAshowingoɏ
two interesting new models.
The da Vinci Color 5D (far right) isabit
toobig to fit on most desks, but it’s unique
in being bothafull colour 3D printer and a
2D inkʱet printer at once.That’s not all,
either:it’sequippedwithalaserengraver,too.
Also on show was the da Vinci Color Mini
(right),asmaller versionof the da Vinci Color 5D.This also has colour 3D printing and
laser engraving capabilities, and while the build area has shrunk from 150x200x200mm
on the 5D modelto 130x130x130mm here,its tighter
footprint could make iteven betterforhome use.

ollowing on from an internal NVMe launch earlier in
2019,Western Digital has expanded its WD Black series
intoanew rangeof external SSDs and hard disks.
These are,like the original WD Black SN750 SSD,
targeting gaming use specifically.The line-up includes two
drives certifiedforXbox One consoles: the WD Black P10
Game DriveforXbox One (right),a2.5in hard disk with
capacitiesof 1TB, 3TB or 5TB; and the WD Black D10
Game DriveforXbox One,which comes inasingle 12GB
version. Bothof these also have standard PC equivalents
(with the same names, minus the ͗for Xbox One’),
although the WD Black P10 Game Drive is significantly
slimmer than its Xbox counterpart.
Forthe more performance-minded, there’s also the
WD Black P50 Game Drive,which usesa20GB/s l·SB
Type-C connection and promises read speedsof up to
2,000GB/s.We’ll aim to have areview soon, as this and
the restof the WD Black range are already on sale.
