“I volunteer at a rescue centre. It’s
very emotional. The best memory I
have was when I was working. A black
antisocial old cat named Ebony who
had been in care for a year and a half
came over to me and started purring.
Everyone in the room stopped and
looked at me. One of them said ‘Ebony
HATES people! I worked here before
she came here and she has NEVER
purred before!’ I almost cried. Then
four weeks later, I was told that Ebony
got adopted.” - Brodie Moore

“I do pet sitting and look after small
animals such as guinea pigs and rabbits

.

They are often forgotten by big kennels
and holiday places so I off er to have them
at my place and give them the very best of
care. I hope I can do this on a bigger scale
one day and own my own rescue centre
and boarding facility for small animals.”

  • Jazzy Maddie

“My job as a vet nurse is the
best job ever. I made a career
change after being in science
for 10 years and I completed
a PhD and have never looked
back. Animals are the best to
work with. It’s not always puppy
and kitten cuddles but it’s very
rewarding.” - Ally Croxford

“Anything at all to do with
animals. They are non-
judgemental and I would rather
spend time with an animal.”

  • Mc Bridgette

“So inspirational watching the guide
dogs in training around Richmond,
NSW. The trainers put them through
their paces. From training up and
down stairs to working the foot paths
and working around the Richmond
Park, I totally love watching them.”

  • Sharon Jacobs

“A stay-at-home dog mum! I also
make dog accessories — would be
good to be able to make an income
out of that.” - Courtney Bryans

“I would love to do Bowen therapy for
horses and dogs. To see the immediate
relief and how much it benefi
animal is very rewarding. And to achieve ts the
this with such a calm and natural practice
is amazing.” - Ashtenne Langridge
