WILD HEARTS
Japandroids and (inset) DMA’s
played secret shows to re-launch
Sydney’s Botany View Hotel.

Compton’s Finest
Ice Cube was joined by his N.W.A crew MC Ren, Dr. Dre and DJ Yella
when he received his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. “Today is
not really about Ice Cube,” he said. “It’s about all the people who
helped me get here.”

KING OF ’ROO After four Bonnaroos, Chance
the Rapper knows how to have a good time:
He joined fans in a volleyball game, visited the
comedy tent and cruised down a waterslide.

It took U2 40-plus years to headline a U.S. festival. They
madeit worth the wait when they took the stage at
Tennessee’s Bonnaroo, tearing through The Joshua Tree
in front of a massive, mostly young crowd. Bono was so
psyched, he even gave Adam Clayton a kiss. “What an
extraordinary thing Bonnaroo is,” Bono said. “Thank you
for naming it after me.”
