John Galliano wasn’t coy about his
inspiration at Maison Margiela this season.
In a show consisting of just 24 looks,
each outfit had its roots in the simple
trench coat. And in typical Galliano style,
the everyday essential came down the
catwalk looking anything but everyday.
It was deconstructed and reconstructed
in organza and transformed into corset-
styled dresses, and made all the more
spectacular when accompanied by face
