are Tatler bashes. On
September 23, the lights
of the Grand Hyatt
ballroom will shimmer
across 350 of the city’s
most distinguished fi gures, VIPs and
socialites as the year-long celebrations for
our 40th anniversary culminate in dazzling
fashion with the Hong Kong Tatler Ball.
This year’s black-tie bonanza, which
has been given the apt theme “40 Years
of Hong Kong Tatler,” will not only
pay homage to the magazine’s four
decades as the city’s peak authority on
luxury lifestyle, but also—and most
importantly—to the movers and shakers in
attendance for the instrumental roles they
have played in creating the city’s legacy
and shaping its future.
It’s no Tatler celebration without a
good dose of fun and frivolity, and this
year’s bash is bound to take it up a notch.
Against a spectacular backdrop that
evokes the city’s stunning landscape,
guests clad in haute couture and tuxedos
will sip champagne and other tipples
courtesy of ASC Fine Wines before a
sumptuous, Hong Kong-inspired four-
course feast. Top-class entertainment will
follow, including special live performances,
in an evening made possible by the kind
sponsorship of Chopard, Clé de Peau
Beauté, The Macallan and Versace.
As per tradition, the Hong Kong
Tatler Awards, highly anticipated
acknowledgements of individuals who
have made important contributions to
the life of the city, will be presented. This
year, honours will be bestowed in the
categories of Most Promising Young Lady,
Most Stylish Woman, Philanthropy, and
Leader of Tomorrow.
So prepare to raise a glass and slip
on those dancing shoes, because it will
certainly be a birthday party
