54 WHAT TRADIES WANT.
I
felt a lot like a little kid at Christmas when
the VW Amarok V6 Ultimate turned up in
my driveway. I knew it was going back
in a week, but I was genuinely excited. The
sexy lines, distinctive front design, 19-inch
alloy wheels and striking new styling bar
with ‘long’ twin pipe and side steps made
of stainless steel all gave it the wow factor.
It was also fitted with the stylish Amarok
roof racks, so it was ready for me to load
my ladder and work tools and put it through
its paces.

surface it’s a well-built, serious work truck
that’s ready to take whatever you throw at it.

of features combined into a seamless, well-
balanced driving experience.

The ‘Nappa’ leather ergoComfort seats
have 14-way adjustment (12 electronically)

I could get very used to in the winter months.
The new ‘Discover Media’ navigation system
is a crystal-clear, 16cm colour touch screen
and includes features like digital radio, app
connect Bluetooth and Apple car play. The
sound system is punchy and clear, which is
also a must for me. And as a drummer, the
